Commercial Development BRUCA is constructing a water pipeline that will come from lake travis down CR 180, New Hope, in front of our neighborhood. Read the Impact article for more information. This project is currently underway. There are also plans of widening Cr 180 from Cottonwood Creek to 183 toll road. Impact news said, This project remains "on hold as the project is unfunded and in an area undergoing significant road reconstruction." The city wants to finish some other road projects first including the widening of cottonwood creek trail. Impact News said that "the improvements to CR 185 (cottonwood creek tr.) that were recommended by the bond committee were to upgrade the existing two lane sections to a five lane roadway and continuous center turn lane; curb, gutter, and sidewalks; and wide outside lanes to accommodate bicycle traffic. The project would also include signalization for the intersection of CR 185 and CR 180 (New Hope Road)." We have had some lots along CR 180 rezoned to commercial and annexed into the city. Two lots are owned by commercial developers and no longer bound by our deed restrictions. One of these lots is at the corner of 180 and the toll road. This lot is now under construction with a business being built there and no longer part of our neighborhood. There was some development happening to the west of Lakewood Trail, but this seems to be on hold. You can call the fire marshal to schedule an inspection. If you are caught burning without one you could be fined. If you want to obtain a burning permit you call the Cedar Park Fire Marshall, Bruce Herms, 401-5200. It will cost you $35 for a two day permit. Loose Dogs There has been a problem with loose dogs in this neighborhood for a long time. People do not like to be harassed and attacked by dogs. Please make sure if you have a dog, that you are responsible for keeping the dog secured in your property. If you have a problem with a loose dog, the best plan is to call the animal control. see links and contacts for phone number. Vandalism We have had problems with burglaries and vandalism in this neighborhood in the past. Mailboxes destroyed, pranks, trash thrown on the side of the road, and damages at the lake area.
